The front page headline of the New York Times screamed a " Christian Extremist" had perpetrated the terrorist act that killed some 90 people in Norway. Further examination reveals that Anders Behring Breivik was in no sense of the word a Christian. He was not baptized, he was not a member of any church. He did not participate in any church. The editors of the NY Times could have correctly pointed out that Breivik was a Norwegian, he was of European stock, he was a racist, a radical and certainly a cruel murderer. But the elites who manage the nation’s flagship of liberal thought and advocacy chose to identify the murderer as a "Christian."
• Many of America’s liberals hate Christianity. They hate its exclusive claims of being the only way to please God and be saved. They especially hate its high moral code that many of them resoundingly reject. They hate the fact that Christians do not readily bow to their liberal dictates and embrace their worldly philosophy.
• Some of these hateful pieces seem to be written by people seeking to justify themselves for not acknowledging and believing in Christ.
• It is not that they love Islam so much, but since Isalm is the enemy of Christianity, they are willing to excuse and justify its excesses. From the Islamists they have learned "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."
• Given the articles they write, it is obvious that many liberals are abysmally ignorant of the teachings of Christ and the nature of his church. They seem to know only what the enemies say of Christianity.
• They are similarly ignorant of the teachings, history and practices of Islam. In this case they seem to reflect the propaganda of Muslim apologists.
• In some atheistic liberals we see an antagonistic attitude toward religion in general. They use any opportunity to try to discredit all religion and to makes adherents look crazy.
• Some who seek to portray Christians as the moral equivalent of militant Muslims seem quite willing to resort to falsehood to make their case.
• Some appear to loath their Anglo-European roots and heritage. They are so guilt-ridden by their education, affluence, and success that they are willing to excuse any attack against them by a third-world people, in this case, Middle Eastern Muslims.
• Some seem to have suffered brain-damage while pursuing their higher education. Having been thoroughly indoctrinated and conditioned in the school of political correctness they are now unable to understand that while it worked to impose their will on other students, the jihadists use it to bind liberals’ hands and muffle their voices. They dutifully blame the innocent while the real terrorists proceed to destroy them one blast at a time.
If we are to survive and win the war with the Islamic terrorists, we must not allow the agents of psychological warfare to blind and divert our attention from the enemy whose goal is to kill us.
