People in love, are eager to tell others about their sweetheart. Parents love to tell acquaintances about their children. Christians should be eager to tell others about Jesus their savior and master who is the love of their lives.
* He is God's Son (Heb. 1:1); God's only begotten Son, utterly unique and one of a kind (John 3:16).
* He sustains and upholds "all things by the word of his power" (Heb. 1:3). "And he is before all things and in him all things consist" (Col. 1:17).
* He is God's first-born (Heb. 1:6). Thus he is his chief heir. He is favored above all other creatures and with dignity and honor will rule in his Father's stead. We are privileged to be members of the church of the first born who are enrolled in heaven" (Heb. 12:23).
* He is the heir of all things (Heb. 1:2). As children of God we are "joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him" (Rom. 8:17).
* He is "the very image of" the invisible God (Heb. 1:3). Thus he said to Thomas, "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:9).
* He is the "brightness of (God's) glory" (Heb. 1:3). He is the radiance of the Father's glory (NIV). This was revealed to the three apostles on the Mount of Transfiguration. "And his face did shine as the sun, as his garments became white as the light" (Matt. 17:2).
* He reigns at God's right hand in heaven (Heb. 1:3). Following his resurrection, he ascend back to God. "Being therefor by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath pour forth this which ye see and hear" (Acts 2:33). "The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet." (Acts 2:34).
* He is superior to all the holy angels; for to which of them did the Father ever say, "Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee" (Heb. 1:4-5). He created the angels (Col. 1:16). Therefore, "Let all the angels of God worship him" (Heb. 1:6).
* He is eternal in nature. "But of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever" (Heb. 1:8). Other rulers grow old and die, or are overthrown by others. Not so my Lord.
* He loves righteousness and hates iniquity (Heb. 1:9). He expects his disciples to be "holy in all manner of living as He is holy (I Pet. 1:15-16). "For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to the intent, that denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world..." (Tit. 2:12).
* He alone is God's anointed messiah sent to save humanity. "Even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power..." (Acts 10:38).
* He gave his life to save us from sin and condemnation. "By which... we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Heb. 10:10).
